Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico was born to a music-loving family. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romance ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. Ana began learning to play and sing in the early years alongside her mother. She received more formal training in singing when she was 16 years old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. When she was a student, and a young professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. When she moved into the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002, she made her way to southern California. She's a regular solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions, performing classical Latin American Music. Alongside being an active performer as well as an instructor, her love of music and art keeps her engaged in a wide range of different projects. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation in keeping the music alive.
