Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both lawyers. The couple moved to Oxfordshire at the age of five years old and attended the Dragon School. Emma's goal was to be an actor. When she was 6, she enrolled in the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch, where she took classes for acting, singing and dance. When she was ten, she had appeared and played the lead in various Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the film version of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was cast in the year 1999. Emma was spotted by Emma's Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman announced to Emma that, after auditioning for eight times Emma and Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. It beat all previous records in terms of the opening weekend and sales, and it was the most-recorded 2001 movie. Film critics praised the film as well as the performances of the three young stars. The Daily Telegraph, an important British newspaper, called Emma's acting "amazing". Emma got five nominations in recognition of her impressive performance. Later, she won the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actresses of a Film.
