Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish pop and flamenco singer. From her teens, Rosalia Vila is a part of popular music as well as flamenco. Her music also strays into different genres such as hip-hop soul and trap. Her voice has been said by no less a talent than Flamenco guitar player Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp but with a bite like those of the past. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her the Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist her 2018 follow-up El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success making it to the top of the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately winning the Grammy. The track La Fama with The Weeknd was released. Motomami featured songwriting partnerships with many artists including Cory Henry, James Blake as well as others. It was released on the 20th of March, 2022 after the show on Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia performed solo in her first appearance ever on the program. Motomami was the only woman in history to be the winner of the Latin Album of the Year two times as well as three Latin Grammy Awards.
